Lake Tahoe in the Fall
We went up to South Lake Tahoe with seasoned fisherman Jesse Hall and met up with Kyle Miller, the Wild Woodsman from Montana. We had a great day and a half filled with hiking, swimming and hangovers. The lake was quite refreshing in mid October and just a bit down the road there was a stream filled with Kokanee salmon swimming upstream to lay there eggs and die. There was also an observation area where you could go underground and watch the salmon swim through a huge window. We then started super late on a hike up to about 10,000 feet to the top of Mt. Tallac where that time lapse went down. Somewhere in there was a night out on the bar scene in south lake where we saw about three other people out, but we still managed to post up and close down Turn Three with a night full of beer sabotage, peanut throwing (frowned upon) and daring each other to take awful shot concoctions. All in all it was a great time!
The footage was shot on a Canon 60D with a run and gun setup. Loupe, Strap, Mic, 50mm 1.8 lens. Shot in cinestyle picture style as flat as possible then brought back to life using after effects color correction. If you have any questions about how anything was done feel free to leave a comment.
