We have been so fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Sierra at Tahoe Mountain.  We have worked with them in the past for a transworld shoot with billabong and cant emphasize enough how friendly and helpful their entire staff is.  They are very accommodating and have been one of our favorite clients.

Sierra Shoot Photos

Here is just a couple of photos from this event.  Super fun 3 days of filming and hauling equipment with cats and snowmobiles!  Thank you to all the people at sierra who made this shoot possible.  Video is to come soon.

Jamie Sending it big! Her dad was waiting below with a snowmobile to take her back up.

Pooch getting all spun up on a backside 1080.  Such a ripper!  He was lapping this jump all day and consistently landing back tens and switch back tens.

Sierra at Tahoe Park Shoot

Hella Filming on Home Turf

We were very excited to be a part of this three day shoot with so many big name rippers.  Anytime we have an opportunity to shoot at our favorite home town mountain, Sierra at Tahoe, we jump on it.  Both Pilot, Asa Martinez, and Camera Opperator, Nicholas Alger, were former team riders on the famous Sierra Team.  Another team member who you may have heard of, Jamie Anderson, brought her A game as usual and slayed this jump.  South Lake Tahoe local Nick Poohachoff dropped more hammers than a clumsy construction worker!  Here are a few photos from the shoot, but the video is expected on Transworld Snowboarder very soon! Mud Factor

We had a blast working with the Mud Factor obstacle Run video.  The energy in everyone who participated was so high.  This is an example of an event that is ideal to cover with aerial angles to really show the audience the large scale of the event and just how many people participated.  We were able to responsively and quickly capture moments as they unfolded due to our extremely quick set up and break down time.

Camera Jib

We use a 15 foot Jony Jib with a 20lb remote head.  This system is very precise and very portable.  We are able to condense the whole thing into two pelican cases that are very durable and easy to travel with.  Set up takes about 20 minutes to get the whole thing assembled and balanced.  It is light enough to move around once it is assembled so many different angels are possible.

Mediya

Mediya came to us looking for direction for their brand in the realm of snowboarding.  We were more than happy to oblige in putting together a few fun edits and plugging them into a pool of young talented riders.    There is plenty more in store for Mediya, you should  keep an eye on this company!  www.mediya.tv

Cinestar Unboxing and Build

We are very excited to own the Cinestar 8!  This platform is capable of delivering unique results that a single rotor heli does not excel at.  The multi rotor platform is quiet, safe, and calculated giving you the look of an insanely expensive large camera crane.  It is capable of doing large reveals and is excellent at holding at a certain altitude, due to its built in GPS system.  This is ideal for television and movie sets both indoor and out.

Asa takes us through all the components that you can expect when you order the Cinestar 8 and starts the assembly.

In the next installment we have it all assembled and ready to fly.  We are almost ready to set up the GPS and attach the camera.

The Cinestar is up and running!  We have got amazing footage down from it and are currently working on getting the down link station set up to monitor the video feed.

Multi-Rotor GoPro Fleet

These multi-rotor platforms were the first RC helicopter that we have ever brought down usable footage from. They are great because they can be used as a run and gun, gorilla filming platform in which you can show up film and leave in a matter of minutes. They are quiet and very safe as well. These little copters have taken a sideline to our larger filming rigs in recent months, but we developed a camera platform for them that almost completely eliminates vibrations that can often times be seen in the footage. The theory was to separate the camera mount from the body to dissipate the vibrations, and the results are excellent! We hope you enjoy this short that showcases the versatility of these setups.
